To our fellow dragon enthusiasts,
Tonight at 9pm ET, this campaign comes to a close! We’ll post another update with info about what comes next soon after the campaign ends, but first, we wanted to give you all a shout on a few important things you might want to do before the campaign concludes!

Apple ID
If your Kickstarter account is signed up with a private relay Apple ID email address, you’ll need to do one of the following to ensure we’re able to collect your address via our post-campaign survey (more on that in the next update).
Option 1: Once we launch this campaign’s post-campaign survey in a few weeks, you will need to contact us. Since all the emails on Kickstarter are imported to our post-campaign pledge manager platform to collect addresses + shipping fees when the time comes, folks who made Kickstarter accounts with a private relay Apple ID will not receive emails with links to their post-campaign surveys!
Option 2: If you want to get ahead of this, you can email Theora at [email protected] and they will manually adjust your contact email for the post-campaign survey when it launches! They will need your name, your Backer ID from Kickstarter, and the email address you want to receive your post-campaign survey.
To find your Backer ID from Kickstarter:
Click on your profile icon in the upper right of Kickstarter, then select Modern Dragons under “Backed Projects”.
At the top of the campaign you will see a message that you backed the project and a link to “View Pledge”. Click this link.
Scroll to the bottom of the page and look for “Backer number” on the right hand side.
Option 3: If you’re sick and tired of dealing with this Apple ID issue across all the lovely Kickstarter campaigns you back, then you can always conquer your executive dysfunction and change your account email to a standard email address. Here’s a link to a Kickstarter help article on how to do that!
Content Update
Remember how we said if we hit $200k then Devin would add more content to the books?
The folks here at Upside Go thought that meant we might get an extra 20 or so pages of content. That would be awesome, right?
Well…
We’ve worked with Devin long enough now that we really should have known better. She sent us more content to add to the book… then more content… then more content… and now she’s working on wrapping up a few more pieces in time to include too.
Per our designer, we are now looking at nearly FIFTY PAGES OF EXTRA CONTENT GOING INTO THIS ART BOOK!!! This makes Modern Dragons a whopping 250ish pages long!
We’ll be sure to keep you in the loop about the final length of this title as we get closer to the final version of Modern Dragons, so stay tuned for more on this front.
For now, however, we wanted to say thank you. From the small team here at Upside Go and from Devin herself, thank you all so much for your unbelievable support on this art book campaign. Now more than ever, it’s so important to celebrate art of all kinds and the artists who create beautiful works for us to enjoy. It’s because of each and every one of you that we’re going to be able to bring this gorgeous art book to life. Thank you for showing up for Devin, and thank you for supporting the arts. We really can’t say it enough.

Modern Dragons is already designed and laid out with 200 pages of content. But the closer this campaign gets to $200k, the more we keep thinking… That’s a milestone worth celebrating!
Which is why Devin has promised that if this campaign manages to break $200k before it ends in just 9 days, we’re going to add at least fifteen more pages of art and content to the final version of the Modern Dragons art book!
So if you want even more dragons (I mean, come on, who doesn’t?) then be sure to share this campaign with a friend who might be interested!

Also, in case anyone does see the title “Modern Dragons” and gets the insane notion that there is such a thing as too many dragons, rest assured, this artbook features plenty of other mythic creatures as well!

I’m in charge of planning and executing Upside Go’s Kickstarter campaigns. I work closely with creators alongside Sabine to ensure we’re able to deliver beautiful products and give backers the best possible experience. I’ve got a hand in a little of everything when it comes to our Kickstarters!

Outside of Upside Go I am an avid runner and equestrian. I run marathons for fun and attempt to tame my fat pony, Macaroni, on the daily. I listen to audiobooks on 1.5x and have dreamed of riding a dragon every day for the past 25+ years.
