Progress Continues!
Devin has gotten the responses back from the industry professionals she’s interviewing for the Bakery Dragon segment of Modern Dragons where she discusses her journey from start to finish. After our designer gets this section built out, we only have one left before we can start printing! WOO!
In the meantime, we’re making steady progress on one of the other major moving parts involved with this campaign—the bookplates for the Bakery Dragon series!
We wanted these to be seamless in the way they blend in on the endsheets of all the Bakery Dragon books, and we’re pretty pleased with the end result!
Hopefully you are good at those “spot the difference” games!

How great is that?! For any of you nervous nellies out there who are looking at this and thinking “oh no I have to perfectly apply a sticker” we purposefully sent these to Jackson who works at Upside Go to see how it would go.
(His hands are very shaky.)

We have the bookplate for The Bakery Dragon and the Giant Cookie done as well, but we don’t have explicit permission from Devin or the publisher to share what that front endsheet looks like just yet, so for now we’ll keep it to ourselves because we like not being sued…
(But we pinky swear, the bookplate for it looks great!)

Wraithmarked Creative is kickstarting an art book featuring Devin Elle Kurtz and 100 other artists!
101 Artists will feature 2 pieces from 101 different creators.
Notably, Wraithmarked is paying all of the artists for the use of their art, which most artbook publications don’t do! The artbook will also include QR codes for the artists so you can quickly find their social media or website if you want to see more of their work.
